Type: Hero

Point costs: 5

The Medusa is always on the lookout for a host among allied units so that it can better protect itself and its fragile body. If it stays in symbiosis with the unit, it enjoys its protection and in return provides it with reaction-increasing infusions, which give the wearer a better reaction. At the same time, these poisons are extremely toxic to the enemy and can cause discomfort. In dangerous situations, the Medusa is able to move to safety in a flash in order to look for a new host and also strengthen it.

BACKGROUND

Age: ???

Height: 90cm

In many Atlantean cultural circles, consciousness expansion are socially acceptable means of enhancing perception and creativity. Traditionally, the highly dangerous nettle poison of the medusa genus Aurelia Atlantae was incorporated into small pastries and eaten in special lounging rooms. The intoxicating effect has been used for centuries in various Atlantean establishments, while the active ingredient is extracted from the fragile animals through an elaborate process. It was only with the use in conflicts that the method of nettle venom extraction was optimized and adapted. The poison, which is very fast-acting and highly dangerous for a victim who is not genetically adapted, however, is probably the most commonly used stimulant of this kind. The venom is difficult to preserve and loses a large part of its effect shortly after it emerges from the stinging nettle cells. Nevertheless, in order to support the forces of Atlantis with their extraordinary toxin, Medusae are fitted with an extremely light pressure equalization shell and carried into an upcoming battle. Additional servo tentacles on the medusae also serve as a technical interface to the individual organisms of the Atlantean forces via special implants in their skin. This ensures an optimal dosage of the toxin. Altogether, the Medusae's extraordinary use makes them an important component of the Atlantean warfare strategy.
