Type: Squad Upgrade

Point costs: Ares-Formation: 25 / Artemis-Formation: 20

As an upgrade for the Phalanx squad, Tythus opens up two completely different battle doctrines that allow the squad to be precisely adapted to the battlefield: Artemis Formation or Ares Formation - defensive discipline or aggressive overpowering. In the Artemis formation, the Phalanx responds with disciplined toughness: it can execute unmodified counterattacks with action points and uses its parabolic shields to envelop opponents in flames even at a distance. The Ares formation, on the other hand, gives the phalanx offensive determination. Despite the use of protection markers, the troop remains fully operational - and strikes with its spears from close range without base contact. This prevents counterattacks - a tactical advantage that can make the difference between victory and defeat in close combat. Tythus is more than just an upgrade - he is the key to the Phalanx's strategic versatility.

BACKGROUND

Age: ???

Height: 200cm

Tythus is more than just a warrior of the Guard of Telos—he is the first among equals who breathed new life into ancient formations. In him, centuries-old martial arts unite with an unwavering vision for tactical innovation. Through his studies in the war archives and his experiences on the edges of the habitable deep zones, he developed the Artemis Formation, granting his phalanx powerful ranged capabilities and the ability to set enemies ablaze with precision. For close combat, he designed the Ares Formation, an aggressive technique that enhances the unit’s agility and finesse, turning it into a decisive force at the heart of the battlefield. Tythus commands not with a raised voice but with precise gestures—his finely crafted scepter serves as a symbol of discipline and leadership. It bears engravings of tactical formulas as well as ancient Atlantean blessings. His presence on the battlefield brings order to chaos, structure to noise, and unwavering strength in the face of any threat. Tythus embodies the values of the Guard of Telos like few others: loyalty, control, foresight—and the unshakable readiness to stand at the front line when Atlantis calls its defenders.
